In 2012 the Ponderosa TanzLand offers several work exchange opportunities for those who would like to participate in the various workshops in exchange for good hard work. We are also open for long term visitors who stay for months. Stolzenhagen's rough and raw conditions require people who have stamina and patience as everything here just takes a little longer to accomplish. For example, the studios have no running water, some bathrooms are outdoor compost toilets, and carrying the vacuum cleaner from one studio to another requires time and strength!
So we ask that you consider what you are capable of before signing up!

The exchange is based on the work you do and how much you would like to participate in the different workshops. We do this on a personal basis and some things may be tailored or altered to your situation once you join the team and are attending the festival. We are looking for the most satisfying experience for everyone. It is possible to join us for the entire summer. We give priority to those who are able to commit for a longer timeperiod, but two weeks is the minimum, with one week help and one week dance. It is not possible to participate in a intensive workshop and be a full time helper during the same week.  The P.O.R.C.H. professional program is also excluded from any workexchange. The P.O.R.C.H performance and choreographic module is intensive in hours even though on our official schedule, the group only meets  for 2 hours.

Take a careful look at the program, give us your time frame of when you could imagine coming, let us know what you could contribute financially  and make a proposal - we will come up with a solution together. If you are a skilled cook for groups and you dont want to dance in exchange please contact us to make other arrangements

We are looking especially for experienced cooks in July and August 2012 as well as craftsmen from as early as April on!

If you are an EU-citizen you might as well consider to apply for a grant to do a "job shadowing" or stay with us as an "assistent". For more infos check: Programm for life long learning- subprogrammes "Leonardo" or "Grundtvig". We are willing to help you with the formalities.
